Elton John concert set for March 23


An addition of Connecticut show has been made by Elton John to his run of East Coast shows in March.

The legendary performer will play the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on Friday, March 11. Tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m

The show has been named as a “Greatest Hits Live” concert,Elton confirms that he will be playing all his number one hits and classic album tracks from throughout his five-decade career.Additionally, fans can expect John to perform a few selections from his most recent release, The Union, a collaborative effort with Leon Russell.John’s band includes Davey Johnstone on guitar, Bob Birch on bass, John Mahon on percussion, Nigel Olsson on drums, and Kim Bullard on keyboards.

John and his band will play the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts on Saturday, March 12,after his show at Mohegan Sun. A very limited amount of tickets for that show remain available through Ticketmaster.

John was recently in the area when he and Russell performed material off The Union for the very first time as part of T Bone Burnett’s Speaking Clock Revue benefit concert at the Citi Wang Theatre in October.
